Two additional roles for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince have apparently been cast. The part of Regulus Black, death eater and younger brother of Sirius Black, will be portrayed by young actor Tom Moorcroft according to this page at Spotlight.com (be sure to click for additional photos of the actor).
UK Castingcall pro also reveals that Charlie Bennison will be seen in the part of Sanguini the Vampire, who as readers will recall, is a guest at Slughorn's dinner party.
No formal announcement has yet been made on these latest additions, and we will update once we can receive confirmation from WB. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be released in theaters November 21, 2008.

Back in February, we told you Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling was a guest at the James Joyce Awards in Dublin, Ireland. Thanks to La Gazetter du Sorcier there is a new report online containing a many of her remarks at this event. Answering a range of questions, Jo again says she intends to "write an Encyclopaedia which would hopefully incorporate a lot of back story I couldn’t… or flesh out back story that wasn’t in the books." JKR was also asked if she thinks of the actors when she writes. Jo said "to be honest no, the only actor or actress who has ever, ever intruded while writing was Evanna Lynch, who is absolutely perfect as Luna. And I must admit I have heard her voice in my head when I wrote the book."
Specifically on the topics of the books, J.K. Rowling reflected on the theories that she heard while writing the series and mentions several in particular, notably " when Neville visits his parents in St Mungo’s and his mother presses sweets wrappers on him, which I always saw as a poignant moment... There was a theory that she’s passing secret messages on the sweet wrappers. There have been loads of them."
(Headmistress' Note: You can read the full Leaky Cauldron article here. Be warned that the article has spoilers for the final HP book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. So if you haven't read the book, steer clear of the article.)

There is some good and bad news tonight to tell you regarding those new WB photos of actress Emma Watson. First the good news is the second of the new photos is now online via her official website, here. The bad news is that these photos (a third one is still due later this week) are to be of Emma, and not of Emma in her role as Hermione Granger. Thus, if you were hoping to see new photos from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, it appears we will just have to wait a bit longer for those.
In case you missed our earlier update, the first of the new photos is online at EmmaWatson.com. This is of particular interest to fans, as it will be the photo fans will received should they write the actress seeking an autograph.
