Confirmed Release Date for 'HBP'

Last week we mentioned that many entertainment sites had posted a release date for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Warner Bros. has confirmed for HPANA that the movie will be released on November 21, 2008, 16 months after Order of the Phoenix.

Even though this is the earliest fans have been given news about an upcoming Potter movie, please note that no additional information has been released - which means no director, no cast and certainly no composer.

Julie Walters Talks About Driving Lessons, Harry Potter, and More

Actress Julie Walters (Molly Weasley) was interviewed recently on the Irish radio program "Rattlebag." In the nearly 40-minute interview, Ms. Walters talked about her career, her family, working as a nurse, and (of course) Driving Lessons and Harry Potter. She says that in Driving Lessons, Rupert Grint's acting will take him "to a new level," and briefly mentions her return to the Harry Potter films for Phoenix after not appearing in GoF.

New Photos & Report from 'Phoenix' Filming

Some new photos of Daniel Radcliffe and Harry Melling rehearsing a scene for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix have appeared online. The new photos show both actors running in what appears to be the Privet Drive set.

The photos taken over the last few days at the Leavesden Studios also show two Knight Buses which may make an appearance in the film.

You can read an additional report of the filming here (just scroll down to the Update On Filming story).

In the pictures you will see a couple of snaps of a park. This park was being used for an opening scene between Harry and Dudley. Dudley was teasing Harry with something to do with Cedric. Harry approached Dudley with his wand and then there is a weather change from being the hottest day of the year to really dark, scary winds blowing and apparently something to do with the dementors.

Thanks to VTM and HP4U for the photos and report.
