The IMAX corporation confirmed on Friday that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be have a simultaneous release date in theaters as well as IMAX theaters on November 21st, 2008.Richard L. Gelfond, IMAX Co-Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer, spoke briefly about the version:
"Our release of 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' is scheduled for November, and we expect that as with 'Harry Potter 5,' certain sections of the film such as the finale will be presented in IMAX 3D."
Last summer, Order of the Phoenix was released in IMAX theaters, and broke several box office records with it's success.
