Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is branching out from life at Hogwarts, as he's going to star in a tragic drama set in World War One.
Dan said he was "thrilled" to be acting in My Boy Jack, a true story about the son of famous poet Rudyard Kipling.
"Young men are still going off to fight in wars from which many will never return," he said.
Meanwhile, filming is continuing on the next Harry Potter flick, Order of the Phoenix, due out in 2007.
Dan's new role is a big departure from playing the boy wizard.
The two-hour TV-film tells the story of how Rudyard Kipling got his 17-year-old son into the army even though he had bad eyesight.
Tragically, the boy was killed in the war which ran from 1914 to 1918, and his body was never found.
