At an event today in Dublin's Trinity College, Brendan Gleeson (Mad-Eye Moody) made an appearance supporting Chernobyl Children's Project International. A Leaky reader attended the fundraiser and wrote this report:
Students were escorted by House Ghosts and House Founders to Classes given by Hogwarts Teachers in full dress, owls flew over the huge oak dining tables (by 17th century paintings!) and Brendan Gleeson came for two hours! We introduced him as Professor Moody's Muggle twin brother, because he thought no one would recognise him without his make-up! The room errupted when he came in! His agent told me people were screaming for him all month and we were the only thing he did! It was great for a few Potterheads in Dublin to achieve true magic on such a great scale.
On a related note, Gleeson recently did an interview with the LA Times discussing his role in the Goblet of Fire movie. He also said that he would like to return for Movie 5.
