Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire came in at fourth place at this weekend's box office, raking in $5.9 million and surpassing Prisoner of Azkaban's domestic gross in the process. Peter Jackon's King Kong was expected to be stiff competition, and although it did top the box office this week, its opening gross was less than half of Harry's.
GOF also passed the $700 million mark worldwide, another key milestone for the film. The upcoming holiday season should propel its worldwide gross to - at the least - $800 million, and should also push its domestic totals past that of Chamber of Secrets in 2002.
